Mission Aviation Fellowship
Mission Aviation Fellowhsip have known by me since I am in the year of Elementary school. I always heard and saw many of MAF pilot come to my local church (GKKA=Gereja Kebangunan Kalam Allah Jemaat GKKA Tarakan)in sunday morning.Thenceforward I know about MAF and I had a lot of memories about playing with their children that coeval with me. I remember that I do not how to speak with them cause their native language is english an I can’t speak english at the time.it was fun when we have to used gesture in comunication each other. since then, my sister also have a good relationship with them, my sister join the Youth Fellowship in church and also making a fellowhip in the Maf family and ask them as speaker in the youth fellowship. I remember when GKKA open a new field of evangelism nearby my house it was called POS.P.I and then called Rayon was thefirst Portal to evangelic. And nearby the portal majority consist of traditional chinese and follow the chinese culture, however they do not know about what mean of doing it(like sacrifice chicken, pig for their ancestors). the time was going up and one day in High School I just realized that MAF is a social mission with love and care to the world. before that, I think MAF is a Flight bussiness like MErpati, Garuda, or singapore Air lines that provide the transport to another town using plane with type of Cesna(a small size plane). after that, I realized and have a good relationship with some of maf family like Budi santoso, Jodie and Daniel Appleby, and other, also my Sister good Friend was Philip Tsai family. Their face show how they love the poor people in the very small town and unreach by us before in deep of Borneo Forest.I know about Daniel Appleby family and learn about their life, I beheld them and found that they love and have a close realtionship with GOd. how to think that a US citizen from IOWA come to the bad country like Indonesia and work in a small town in Tarakan and have to leave thier family and evangelic in the jungle also have to find any donation to survive. if we thought that was not GOd who agitate them, I believe they will not come, because they will live modernly and comfortable in United States. Th thinking of missionary is differrent with ours.maf is a great organization, thank you for MAF that support our country and have contribute a changing of this world of view in helping people by providing transportation in majority.
