Professionallism Vs Nationalism
Before I wrote that topic… I want to inform and write in my virtual Diary (blog) that Today is a
history day where North Korea Launch Nuclear Test and it will be a Today or maybe This month’s Headline News..
Back to the topic, I wr ote this beacuse In May 2006, I come with My friend To GOR Kertajay where the place of watching Indonesia Open, the International Tournament of Badminton held by IBF. paid RP. 50ribu, I got a back sit and watch my Idol TOny GUnawan. REally He win the game and being 1st Rank with his partner Chandra Wijaya.
Toni Gunawan was asked comment by the Television Crew, but Toni do not say anything about his moving to America.
based on the article I read, Toni Move t
o America in 2001 to continue his study in Devry University in Arizona, with his wife THe take a study, where Toni take a Bachelor of Information Technology. Toni also born and spent his teenagehood in Surabaya city. durin in America, TOni was offered to be a coach of America Badminton Federation. Need to know that Badminton in America is not famous and popular like Basket Ball or Softball.
Toni Moved to America. SOme Indonesian Press ask Tony’s nationalism.further Toni said pure want to study in America but then play for America in All england, partner with Howard Bach(Vietnam-America) , then got 1st rank defeat his friend from Indonesia Chandra Wijaya-Sigit Budiarto.what do you think about this Case??Toni made a mistake and choose america because more profit than offered by Pelatnas Indonesia?
to answer that case, I choose Professionalism. according to me, a professionalism cannot measure with Nationalism, to be more professionalism Toni may leave his country and play for America and surely we may not being hypocrisy also more profit offered than play for Indonesia. we called this proffesionalism.
like we see in Football, so many case of Player Transferred, from one club to other club, it cause proffesionalism and the palyer want to seek more experience without forget the profit offered.
what do you think…???
Go Toni Gunawan!
